Terra love

When it comes to creating a more sustainable way of life, there’s no one answer to the problems at hand. Resources, materials, production, all have impact and are equal part of the problem. To change the big picture, we need to rebuild it – piece by piece.

For the launch of TERRA LOVE, an adidas Sportswear collection made with organic cotton, and Primeblue and Primegreen materials - high performing yarn created from recycled plastic, we needed to concept the visual elements of a campaign which would run under adidas’ sustainability headline of ‘Help End Plastic Waste’.

The approach, which I developed in conjunction with an Art Director, unpacks the component parts of the problem and puts the tapestry back together again, but better.

Our plan was to create a rich backdrop against which to show the TERRA LOVE collection. With each texture used, we wanted to subtly showcase the innovation and creativity going in to the fight to end plastic waste. To bring the concept to life, we worked with the super talented visual artist, Alice Issac, who handcrafted our collages. From a creative side we were really happy with how this approach came together and ended up looking.

The collection won’t end plastic waste but it’s a small step in the journey towards restoring our planet.
